WHAT? After all that, we ran out of WOOD!

Finishing out the first level of the pile

I like to finish out the pile width wise after every 4 layers of wood.

The center row just needs to be stable. The other outer row needs to be stable and leaning inward just like the other side. I like to build 4 layers at a time because it helps tie the pile together and make it more stable. From here, you just repeat the steps until you run out of wood, or make the pile 4-5 feet tall.
